DIY Instagram Display

Why hello everyone! I've taken forever to share all the "REAL DIY" projects I've been working on in my new home...  starting with my Blogging station reveal... but I am a perfectionist, and there are a few finishing touches I want to add before the final reveal.  But today I have a major sneak peak project for you all. I hope the pictures don't give the whole space away. Haha!

Anyhow, I am majorly obsessed with INSTAGRAM, and I really wanted to display personal candid moments near my work space, so an instagram collage fit the bill quite nicely.

First, I printed out my selected instagrams 6 to a page on glossy paper at Staples. You can make a collage like this using a program like picmonkey.com.

Cutting them out was pretty straight forward. I don't think there is much direction needed there. ;)

Next, I took out an old black & pixie glass poster frame I had in the closet. I took the cardboard out of the back, and secured the frame to the hold in the pixie glass. Then, I arranged my instagrams in the order I wanted, securing them with one strip of washi tape on each picture.

This is what it looked like when I was done.

I didn't really like the black frame for my space, so I pulled out my patterned masking tape (I got it from Staples) and did a few layers over the rims of the frame.

I had to use two strips to cover it width wise. So I just made sure to align them correctly.

And this is how it turned out! Pretty spiffy, huh?

What do you think? Is it a keeper, or does it look too busy? I'm not sure if it's the right fit for the space, but I do really love how it turned out, and I love being able to look up and be reminded how beautiful my life is.

Can't wait to share the rest of my projects with you all! I hope it doesn't look like there is a lapse in content here. In all reality, I've been working my butt off coming up with new content... it's all just on my camera memory card though. Free assistant offers anyone? Haha!

XOXO Everyone!
