How to freeze vegetables without them becoming a block of ice

This is the perfect way to preserve all the abundance of vegetables you get from your garden. I hate having vegetables go bad & this is a great solution!

Berries, Broccoli, Carrots, Cauliflower, Mushrooms, Zucchini, Peppers, Etc. This works awesome for meatballs & cookie dough too!
Some vegetables will not handle the freezing process very well (esp. ones with a very high water content e.g. tomatoes.) so they may be good for cooking (pizza anyone?) but don’t expect them to be just as good as just off the vine.
  1. Wash vegetables
  2. Dice them to desired size.
  3. Spread out on a cookie sheet and place in freezer for about 15 minutes.
  4. Break up and ziploc
  5. Enjoy whenever needed
This is a great thing to have done in advance- just grab and go!
