Now for a fun tutorial on how to design a printable card!

First, open up a new image sized at 8.5x11" at 300 dpi. This is just a standard printing paper size.

Now we need to create a template to show us where our card fold & cut lines will be. So create another new image half the size of the 8.5x11" which would be a document 4.24x5.5"

Fill up the smaller canvas we just created with the paintbrush tool. Any color will do. Press ctrl+a and ctrl+c to copy the image.

Press ctrl+v to paste the smaller canvas into the large one. now we have our "template" which shows where the card would be folded down the middle and where to cut it in half to make two cards.

Paste your desired graphic over the template. Size and re-position accordingly. Once you have it where you want it, right click your graphic's layer & press duplicate layer (unless you want a totally different design for the second card)

Holding down ctrl and the down arrow button, mover your new graphic into a coordination position on the second card. Hide the template layer, and save as a jpg.

Instructions on how to cut and fold:
Make the two sides of your printed card align, and fold down the middle. You can either just cut the two connected cards by guessing where the middle is, or measure accordingly. Sometimes I add a super faint cut line to the middle on the actual image.

There you have it! :)
